Examinations
1. Under B.F.A 5 year degree course :
The annual Examinations in the First year and third year will be conducted by the college of Art and Crafts, the rest of the Examinations, i.e. Second year (Preparatory), Four year (BFA part-I), and fifth year (BFA part-II) Examinations will be conducted by the Gauhati University. The students in order to pass the Internal Examination must secure a minimum of 40% marks in Practical and 30% in theory (History of Art)
2. Under B.V.A 4 year degree course :
Internal Assessment - Weeky / Fortnightly : Will be assessed in the practical papers and provide the grades. In the end of the semester, will be compiled all the earned grades and calculated out of 40 marks by 3 member committee, constituted by the Principal and published officially before the External evaluation / end semester exam.
External Evaluation - Display : At the end of the each semester select 5-10 best works of Art by the students from the entire semester practical's and display neat in a show / exhibition. The Evaluation out of 60 Marks by an evaluation committee constituted by the Principal OR one / two External expert from other Institution / Established Artists / Retired Teachers for each course.
-End Semester Exam (ESE) : Final display and presentation / End semester exam / dissertation.
Examinations, whether internal or end semester, theory or practical, would be counted in totality for the purpose of considering a student passed or failed.
